We all know what time of year it is.. the Season of Giving. Yes, that's right, we are off scrambling trying to find the perfect gift for everyone on our list. This post is directed to the "toy givers", if that's you; this is very informative.
I rarely watch TV, but the other afternoon I stumbled upon the RachelRay show. I was astonished to find out how many toys are being recalled that we aren't even aware of!! Also, how many toys are coated with lead paint! Wasn't that banned in the 1970's?! Banned here, in the USA but not in other countries that many of our toys come from.
I've walked by some stores and have seen bulletins with toy recalls, but who has time to look through a list at a store when we have other things to do and buy. So, now I'm doing my homework before hand.
ToyTips is a website that specializes in all toys that have been recalled!! Definitely, a site to check out before purchasing any toys for our little friends. Also, don't forget those lead testers! These are very inexpensive and can be purchased at most hardware stores, such as Lowe's or Home Depot.

The Season is Here!
Well, it's official.. Thanksgiving is over and Christmas is here!!
Our Christmas gift to everyone is a free session! Yes, that's right; a free session!!
Why? Glad you asked! Recently we had a mother inquire about booking a holiday session for her toddler. Upon receiving her quote, she responded by saying that she loved our work but she was going to wait and do a sitting at a more meaningful time...
We certainly understand, where this mother is coming from, but being a mom myself, I had to ask, isn't every moment meaningful? Everyday my daughter amazes me!! Her new discoveries, expressions and behavior constantly change and we are so fortunate to be able to capture these precious moments before she outgrows them!
These are the moments that we strive to capture in every child.. so please don't wait to book a session for a "more meaningful time", let us capture your most precious moments.....because all are meaningful!!

Stoller Strides
Have you ever been out to some of the local parks, such as RiverWalk and noticed a group of women pushing their strollers? I have and I wondered who they were for two reasons; one, the women were working out and enjoying it and second, the kids were enjoying themselves. ( What could be better? )
A few weeks ago, I met Michelle who just so happens to be the owner/instructor of Stroller Strides. I decided to ask her what exactly is Stroller Strides, and this is what she told me:
"Stroller Strides is a fun way to get back in pre-baby shape! It's not just a stroll in the park. This is a 1 hour, full-body workout. Mommies may run or walk (most power walk) and every few minutes we stop for strength training. At the end of class we do abs and stretching. Stroller Strides also offers Mom's Night Out (MNO) once a month and Playgroups every Wednesday. You do not have to be a member of Stroller Strides to participate in MNO or playgroup. Come on out for a class sometime -- your first one is on us!"
Sounds great to me!! So, check them out at: www.strollerstrides.com

Another cute one from this morning

Both Jake and Jacquelyn around the same age 17 - 18 months, give or take ... These two are both doing the same things, are fascinated by the same things, and certainly share the same pet peeves..
Neither one of the like getting there hands dirty. Jacquelyn will go to anyone saying.. "annd", looking for someone to wipe her hand.
Well her and Jake were playing with a ball in the damp grass, of course it's picking up dirt as it rolls.. Jacquelyn picked up the ball, and said .. "annd" to Jake, so he wiped it for her. Isn't that cute?? =) He's certainly on his way to becoming a gentlemen!
Look at these cuties!
We met Jake and his parents for an early morning shoot this morning. Look at what a cutie! Although, we had to take a couple with Jacquelyn too! =)

Karla and Augustine's Engagement
I've been away from the computer the last several days, so I'm behind on blogging. Anyways, I wanted to share with everyone a sneak peak of Karla and Augustine engagement shoot.
We met a Hart Park last Wednesday. It was a warm day, but they showed up in good spirits and we had a great time shooting. We were able to find a nice grassy area next to the lake.

Leah and Gary's Engagement
This morning I was able to meet Leah and Gary for the first time to shoot their engagment photos. Sometimes it can take awhile for a couple to warm up and to start shooting first thing in the morning, but they were great! You guys are a fun couple who seem to get along great with each other. Can't wait for the wedding!
Thanks for the shoot! Here are some favs from this morning.
